Environment Colorado Research & Policy Center Staff
As Senior Associate for Environment Colorado, Jeanne is responsible for coordinating policy development, research, and legislative advocacy. She previously served as the Political Organizer for the Public Interest Network from 2009-2012. Before that, she was the Executive Director of Environment New Mexico until 2007, and before that was Executive Director of NMPIRG from 1995 until 2006.
Jeanne, who has worked with the state PIRGs and environmental groups since 1985, serves as a resource on a range of environmental and consumer issues including renewable energy and campaign finance reform. In New Mexico she served on several commissions including the Albuquerque-Bernalillo County Air Quality Control Board. Prior to moving to New Mexico, Jeanne spent four years as the New England Field Organizer for U.S. PIRG, the federal advocacy office for the PIRGs.Jeanne has also served as a campus organizer for Massachusetts PIRG and development director for Vermont PIRG. In 1989, she co-directed California PIRG’s signature gathering drive to help qualify the “Big Green” ballot initiative.
Jeanne is also the Senior Associate for the Environment Colorado Research and Policy Center, the 501(c)(3) sister organization of Environment Colorado.
